DURHAM, N.C. - On July 18, the legacy Eagle Club will host an evening of dining and dancing called "An Eagle Extravagala" at the Millennium Hotel in Durham, N.C. from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.

This event will pay tribute to the legacy Eagle Club and its dedicated supporters, while celebrating the establishment of the new Eagle Club.

On Wednesday, the new Eagle Club was announced as the official athletic booster organization for NCCU, combining the fundraising efforts of more than a half-dozen booster groups into one focused club.

Fewer than 60 tickets are available at $40 each. To reserve a ticket, contact Veronica Hemmingway, NCCU Assistant Athletics Director for Development, at (919) 530-6724 or vhemmingway@nccu.edu by Friday, July 3.

NOTE: The Millennium Hotel is located at 2800 Campus Walk Avenue in Durham, N.C.

Eagle Club Gala

This email is to remind you of the Eagle Club Gala that is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Millennium Hotel from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The Gala will include a buffet dinner, a band and deejay, a silent auction sponsored by the NCCU Alumni Association, and the introduction of the newly merged Eagle Club. To get tickets you can call Jackie Brodie at (919) 530-5222 or Bernice Snipes at (919) 225-3090. You are encouraged to attend and to invite others to do so as well since the gala is also a fundraiser for the new Club and the NCCU Department of Athletics.
