Derrick Stephon "DJ" Johnson Sr., 43, of Atlanta, Ga., died Thursday, March 26, 2009, in Atlanta.
He was a native of New Bern and a graduate of New Bern High School. He was an alumnus of North Carolina Central University and a former member of Star of Zion M.B. Church in New Bern.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Antioch Baptist Church North, 540 Kennedy Street NW, Atlanta, Ga. Burial will be in the Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, all of Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, and one brother, of Atlanta, Ga.
