Dear NCCU Alumni, Students and Friends:
http://nccueagles.smugmug...607_Qzrz5#431744095_qZJAq
As you know, President Elect, Barack H. Obama will be sworn in as the 44th President of the United States, on January 20, 2009, in Washington, DC.As part of that process, a Presidential Inaugural Parade has been scheduled to honor our new president, as part of the official ceremonies.
The NCCU Marching Sound Machine has presented its application for selection as one of the official Inaugural Parade Band participants, representing the State of North Carolina. The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) is responsible for selection of performers in and participants of the Inaugural parade.
In order for NCCU's Marching Sound Machine to participate, your help is needed to make our North Carolina citizen voices heard and known to the Presidential Inaugural Committee, that NCCU's Marching Band should be one of the official Bands representing North Carolina.
In order to help organize our very strong and loud voices that can be heard in Washington DC, we are asking that all NCCU Alumni, Students and Friends to Email, write or call your local North Carolina Congressmen, Senator and the Governor of the State of North Carolina, and request that they act quickly for NCCU, and urge the Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) to select the NCCU Marching Sound Machine as a Presidential Inaugural Parade participant.
Please click on the following web site for additional information on how to contact your North Carolina Congressional Representative in Washington, DC: http://www.congress.org/congressorg/home/
We are also asking that you pass on this information and request to all NCCU Eagle Alumni, Students, Fans and Friends on your E-mail list, as soon as possible, so their voices can be heard for NCCU, as well.
Yours In Truth and Service
Dennis W. Ellis, for
